One of my goals for my watercolor class this semester was to find the same bold intense colors in water that I do in oil. As I have been painting Frida Kahlo, I am inspired to use bolder colors and ink to achieve a vibrant look in my watercolors. Here is another example.
I have been painting and creating and didn't even realize how much time had gone by. That is a good thing in these times of isolation. In February I broke my wrist and oil painting was difficult, so it came to a halt. However, I have been drawing and doing watercolors instead, and even did my first ever collage for a drawing class. The cast came off a week or so ago and now I am beginning to work on a special project for the Elisabeth Jones Art Center in Portland Oregon. Deta
